Open Society Foundations-Armenia is pleased to invite you to “Challenges of Digital Switchover in Armenia” public discussion which will be followed by the working group meeting. The event will take place on the 16th of December, 2014 from 11.00 am to 17.00 pm in the Ballroom of Best Western Congress Hotel, Yerevan.
The purpose of the event is to discuss the challenges of digital switchover in Armenia, in particular those related to technical, legal, and social issues of the switchover process. The issue of regional TV channels that do not have digital licenses for broadcasting will be of particular focus at the discussion. Invited experts from the Ukraine and Georgia will present digital switchover experience of their receptive countries. Recommendations for improvement of the sector will be presented and proposed for discussion with the speakers, experts and participants of the event.
Representatives from the RA Government and National Assembly, state agencies, as well as representatives from international organizations, civil society, mass media and media experts are invited to the event.
