    For the following purposes: to strengthen strategic litigation component on domestic violence cases. Particularly, the organization will hire two full-time professional lawyers to work on strengthening strategic litigation component of the project; to arrange meetings and establish contacts for cooperation with police stations and relevant institutions; to conduct investigations in 8 courts and 8 police stations in Yerevan and in 4 regional centres of Armavir, Shirak, Lori and Tavush marzes; to conduct an analyses of the results of investigations and send the recommendations to the relevant structures, also include the recommendations in the justification of the Draft Law on Domestic Violence; with the help of regional counterparts and two lawyers to find domestic violence cases for the strategic litigation; to organize a big campaign by inviting journalists and other mass media representatives to raise the issues of domestic violence; to organize two press conferences - first to present the project and then to present the results of the investigations; to provide legal and psychological assistance to victims of domestic violence on regular bases; to finalize, publish and distribute the manual for Police Academy in 60 copies; to conduct trainings for at least 36 policemen based on the manual on domestic violence. Women’s Rights Center will also work to find new counterparts in the regions and will work to develop their capacity building. Particularly, close cooperate with Armavir Development Center (ADC) will be established; the organization on regular bases will carry out exchange of experience with ADC, will provide consultations on domestic violence, will organize meetings to discuss DV law, will involve ADC in the discussions on DV draft law on regular bases, will provide the necessary materials and expertise in the field of domestic violence and work with victims

The Steering Committee will be composed by OSIAF-Armenia with representatives from civil society, OSIAF-Armenia as well as of the Yerkir Media TV Company. The Steering Committee will advise the topics and control the quality of the programs and will make sure that they do not support any certain political figure or party and guarantee the pluralism. The funding will be given for the first 4 programs, and only having seen the quality of the work and the necessary cooperation with the Steering Committee, to give the rest of the funding for the entire duration of the program. The programs will be terminated at any point if the Steering Committee comes to the conclusion that the programs do not satisfy the requirements

The certain activities planned to be implemented during the project are as follows; provide free of charge legal services in 10 marzes of Armenia as well as in Yerevan. Each trip to marzes will include 2 components: 1) legal advice to local residents with disabilities and their families; 2) training for local lawyers on the specifics of disability-related rights and methods of their protection. The works with the Job Training and Placement Center services will be continued; the services of the Center will include: a) self-esteem training for young disabled job seekers; b) training on effective preparation of CVs, successful job interviews, computer literacy, etc.; c) submitting disabled job seekers’ CVs to the potential employers; d) other relevant services for disabled job seekers. The organization will continue the meetings with employers. The project team will actively negotiate with the leadership and HR departments of large and middle-size companies, explaining them the legal and practical benefits of hiring persons with disabilities. Also, the organization will place ads on city buses, about the services provided by the organization, will regularly update IRTEK system, will publicize FAQ with the answers to most urgent issues in the quarterly periodical “We Are Equal”, will organize at least 2 TV shows on the most important issues. The organization will select 10 interviewers who will be trained by an experienced organization to conduct a study of domestic violence cases in Armavir town and 10 villages, a 20-25 pages brochures about women's rights will be published in 3000 copies and disseminated among the beneficiaries, a regional round-table meeting/discussion will be organized with participation of representatives from the Government, international and local organizations, municipality of Armavir, police, advocates, mass media and representatives from other relevant fields to discuss domestic violence issues in Armavir marz. In the framework of the project, two articles about domestic violence situation in the region will be published in local newspaper "Vagharshapat" with 3500 copies. The organization will carry out 10 community meetings in each villages and the town to discuss the problem and to raise awareness about women's rights, relevant domestic and international laws, domestic violence, etc. During these meetings and in the course of all project implementation the lawyer will provide free of charge legal assistance to women and girls. It is anticipated to screen relevant films and other visual materials during the meetings.
