The categories of the site will include news, media digest, regions, interviews, legislation, sociological surveys, monitoring, elections calendar, information about political parties and candidates, as well as an interactive part – blogs and forums, students, on-line voting, TV and radio, photo and video materials, links. This project is co-financed by UNDP for the amount of $24.000. The first transfer will be made by UNDP in the amount of $24.000 by the end of December, 2006. OSI AFA will transfer $25,000 upon receiving the narrative and financial reports from the implementing organization

    For the following purposes: to organize a workshop on promotion of Open Source Policy in Armenia in the period of October 30 - November 1, 2006. The aim of the conference is to build awareness of authorities about the importance of incorporation of Open Source policy in relevant strategic documents, familiarization with Eastern European experience and promotion of contacts between Armenian and European policy makers. Prior to the workshop, the NGO will carry out an open source survey to identify the level of use of open source software by public organizations and will present the results at the conference.     Purpose:

    For the following purposes: to invite 6-8 participants from Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Georgia and Russia to work at Yerevan universities and other educational institutions for a two-month period. The participants will be subdivided into different cultural groups, will travel around and give lectures and presentations about their countries, cultures and traditions. Project orientation trainings will be conducted in order to develop presentation skills and promote understanding on cultural peculiarities of the country. After the successful implementation of the orientation trainings the trainees with the help of Armenian volunteers will conduct presentations, workshops, team-building and tolerance games, round table discussions in Yerevan universities. Beside cultural events, 3 days’ conference and other special projects will be organized; a 40-page guide-book will be published. As follow-up on the initiative, organization of the project in other regions of Armenia will be made. Armenian students will be sent to the participant countries to implement similar projects there

    For the following purposes: to organize the two-week international summer school from July 23, 2007 to August 5, 2007 for art curators in Yerevan, Armenia. Twenty participants – prospective and practicing curators will be invited from former socialist countries (including Armenia) and Turkey to take part in lectures, seminars and workshops lead by prominent critics, theorists and curators in the field of contemporary art. The summer school will invite three instructors for theory and method courses as well as the workshop. Besides fixed seminars and workshop, there will be one-time presentations by local and international artists, curators and cultural workers. These short seminars will be organized in close coordination and correspondence with partner-institutions in Turkey, Kazakhstan and Slovenia. The classroom teaching will run parallel with studio, gallery and museum visits as well as with a curatorial practicum to organize an exposition or an art-event as a final presentation of the workshop results. The outcome will be a publication of the methodological manual with articles and suggestions from specialists with expertise in teaching and organizing these type of programs
