july1st

Open Society Foundations-Armenia (OSF-Armenia) and the Institute of Public Policy (IPP) think tank invite you to participate in the discussion on “The Problems of State Supervision and Control over the Implementation of the RA Labour Legislation Requirements”. The event will take place on July the 1st, 16:00-18:00 at Picasso Room of Congress Hotel.

The basis for the research served the new reality established after the RA Government decree N 857-Ն, adopted on the 25th of July, 2013, which modified the state supervision and control over the implementation of the RA Labour legislation requirements (according to this decree State Sanitary and Epidemiological Inspection and State Labour Inspection have been merged and restructured to State Health Inspectorate).

The research describes the legal, institutional and operational issues of state supervision and control of the field, and also provides some recommendations aiming to resolve the problems.

The policy research is conducted by IPP senior expert, independent researcher Dr. Avetiq Mejlumyan within the framework of OSF-Armenia “Policy Fellowship Initiative”. Dr. Mejlumyan holds PhD in Philosophical studies and teaches at the Yerevan State University Department of Sociology.
